Spring Break

Aunque la primavera no ha llegado oficialmente, en el ultimo mes hemos disfrutado de un tiempo maravilloso, de sol y calorcito y aunque las lluvias llegaran, nosotras en The Old Kitchen hemos celebrado este momento pre primaveril.   Asì sea que tengas un balcòn, una terraza, un patio, un jardin o simplemente quisieras traer alegria a tu casa, ven a visitarnos y preparate para la llegada de la primavera, con nuestros muebles y complementos monisimos, llenos de colores y alegria con un toque vintage y romantico....   Viste de nuevo tu casa y re-enamorate de ella!!

..Spring hasn't officially arrived yet, nonetheless in the last month we have been able to enjoy a truly glorious weather, sunny and warm and even thought the rain will certainly come, us at The Old Kitchen have decided to celebrate this moment of spring.   So, whether you have a balcony, a terrace, a patio, a garden or you simply want to bring happiness to your house, come see us and prepare yourself for the nicest season of them all, with our beautiful furniture and accessories, full of colours and happiness, with a touch of vintage and romaticism....  Dress up your house and fall back in love with it!!

Hoy ha sido una descargada estupenda, a pesar del frio y de la nieve nos han venido a ver en muchos...

Al volver a casa esta tarde nos hemos dado cuenta que hemos alcanzado las 1000 visitas al blog, estamos muy contentas del trabajo hecho en este año y estamos muy felices que os gusten nuestras creaciones, restauros, decoraciones...Lo celebramos con las fotos de algunos detalles de nuestro taller, GRACIAS A TODOS!

Today it's been a beautiful market day and even if it was very cold and snowy, we've had many visitors....
Coming home this evening we found out that we reached the 1000 visits to our blog, we are happy of the work we've done during this year and even happier that you like it, we'll celebrate it with you by posting some pictures of details of our atelier.

Año nuevo, nuevas ideas y creaciones guapisimas

Hemos empezado este nuevo año con muchisimas ganas de muebles llenos de colores, divertidos, utiles y que llenen nuestras casas de alegria con un toque retro.

Ha empezado  oficialmente la cuenta atras para la Navidad, las luces tipicas de este periodo brillan en las ciudades y los pueblos y nos recuerdan que todavia llevamos dentro el espiritu navideño de cuando eramos niños...
En The Old Kitchen la Navidad nos encanta, las luces brillantes, los arboles de navidad con las decoraciones clasicas y nuestras creaciones para decorarlos y por supuesto las guirnaldas, nuestro toque mas navideño este año sabe a canela y cayenna..

...Countdown to Christmas has officially begun, the typical lights of these holidays shining in towns and villages remind us of how much we still bring within the Christmas spirit of when we were children.
Personally we love Christmas at The Old Kitchen, the shiny lights, the Christmas trees with the traditional decorations and our creations to decorate them and of course our garlands, our most Christmasy touch this year tastes of cinnamon and cayena...

Con el frio llega el nuevo taller y una descargada estupenda!! Bienvenidos a la Caseta Nº 5 en el Mercantic

Ha sido un noviembre lluvioso, gris..  De repente se ha ido la calor y los días se han hecho bastante mas cortos, con el otoño han llegado las lluvias, necesarias y preciosas en Catalunya, pero que igualmente nos traen un poco de tristeza...se acabó el verano, pasa el otoño y empieza el invierno..
Pues nosotras no hemos dejado que el otoño nos entristezca y nos hemos puesto a decorar nuestro nuevo taller en el Mercantic para enfrentarnos a un invierno guapisimo y lleno de luz con una caseta monisima, un taller para soñar, lleno de muebles, telas y objetos preciosos para llenar tu cocina y el resto de tu casa de belleza y alegría todo el año!!

....It has been a rainy and grey november ... Suddendly the warmth had gone and the days got shorter, with the winter came the rain, precious and necessary in Catalunya, but nonetheless bringing with it some sadness...the summer has gone, the fall passes and the winter begins..
Well, we didn't let the fall sadden us and we put ourselves to decorate our new atelier at Mercantic to face a beautiful winter full of lights in a lovely new shop, an atelier to dream of, full of furniture, textiles and precious objects to fill your house with happiness all year round!!

...a veces es dificil dejar ir un objeto que queremos, que hemos encontrado y nos hemos enamorado, hemos restaurado, cambiado... En fin, le hemos hecho empezar un nuevo viaje, con nuevos dueños que le querran hasta que empieze a viajar otra vez y tendrá otras historias que contar...

...It is difficult sometimes to let go of objects and pieces of furniture we fell in love with, we took care of and restored, changed...  so we prepared them for a new journey, with new owners that will love it until it will start yet another journey and will carry within new stories to tell...

Mela has come back from her workshop in Rome full of new ideas, to decorate your house or to have in your shop...
